Very good amp. alot mor powerfull than i expected. im running it with an alpine type R 12" and it hits hard.

You wouldn't think an amp this small and cheap could push some subs, but rest assured it can. For those discouraged about "only 500W", bear in
mind that is RMS power, and most entry-level subs (Alpine Type-S, JL W1, Boston G1, etc) can only handle up to 300W RMS. The chassis is identical to the MRP-F300 4ch amp, and includes end covers to hide your connections and settings for a cleaner install. Note that this amp is NOT 1ohm stable, so if you're dealing with multiple subs or dual voice coils, make sure you wire them right or this amp will shut down in a hurry.

I've owned this amp for some time now and am in love with it. It supplies so much power to my sub. When I first had it installed i had to turn it down because it had so much power. This amp says its supplies 500 watts rms at 2 ohms and it does just that without overheating and cutting out after a good hour of getting a beat down. It continues to perform at a high level that alpine has always lived up to. Heck Yeah :-)

I just recently had this installed in my blazer along with a Boston Acoustics G1 12" sub in a sealed box. I am highly impressed with the amount of power this puts out and the fact that it's black blends in perfectly with the color of my cargo area: much harder to see thru tinted windows. Mounted on the rear passenger cargo area, it was wasted space but not anymore. The only item that had me leaning toward the JL Audio Amp was a remote bass hookup, which the Alpine doesn't have. My installer, wired one up with RCA Plugs, and I have never looked back. Would buy another in a heart beat...Great Stuff at a Great Price

wow this thing powers my type r very very well! have the bass boost set
at 6+ out of 12. oh boy this thing is a powerhouse! i had it playing for
about an hour didnt even get hot. love alpine!
