I installed these on my 1988 Cutlass Ciera a while back and i have to say, these are nasty. The bass is unbelievable while the highs and mids are heard as well. Paired up with a Pioneer head unit that pumps out about 25 watts RMS, these things kick. Kids come into my car and ask me to pop the trunk, and when they see it empty, they can almost not believe it. TRUST ME, if you buy these and power them decently you will not regret it. These are the only things pumping bass in my car ( i only have 2 other 3 and 1/2 inch speakers with bass restrictors...) and it is awesome. I encourage you to check out videos others have put up on youtube because that is where i was convinced these were the right speakers for me. Happy Shopping!

I have both the 6x9s and 5 1/4s of these speakers in my car (1992 cadillac seville) , they sound great. i have them hooked up to a cheap amp but these things rock, thay also hit descent bass for being just 6x9s i would recommend these to everyone.

First things first, the Crutchfield guide says that these speakers do not fit in a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix. I had my equipment installed at a local shop and I am not sure what, if anything, he had to do to make them fit.
Whatever it was, the improvement in sound quality over OEM is well-worth the effort. There are some songs that this speaker running solely on the power of a Kenwood KDC-X492 head unit rattles my rear view mirror like a subwoofer. I have CD's of several quartets with great bass singers (some of you may have heard of J.D. Sumner) and J.D. kicks these bad boys in and shakes my seat just like he did at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta years ago. I also listen to country, hard rock, and some of the passengers in my car like rap and these speakers reproduce them all exceptionally well. Of particular note, the kick drum in the live recording of Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock and Roll" will make you think you're in the arena.
The plans for the immediate future are to add an external amplifier and a subwoofer. I can't wait to re-review these speakers when I'm not taxing them by having them play lower bass frequencies that they really weren't designed for.

These are really good speakers. Sound quality is excellent even without an amplifier. Bass is also clean and crisp. Very good value compared to stock speakers.

I just got these for the rear deck of my 92 accord and all i can say is im blown away at how much bass comes from these with no amp. I have the jvc hdr-1 and these speakers sound fantastic. they have a full range of sound, from trembling bass to great mids and highs. these also have very little distortion, i can play them to the max volume possible without hurting my ears and there is still no distortion. great pick if you need to add a well rounded speaker with great bass to your system without a subwoofer.
