The most crisp and sound bass ever!!! I have wired up four different audio and visual systems into my vehicles, and by far, this sub has the most "knock" and is incredible at rounding out the sound to my vahicle's system. Highly recommend purchasing it.

I own a 2000 pontiac grand prix and have replaced all interior speakers with infinity reference which are amazing. I first started off with two 12 kicker comps powered by a 500.1 amp. Those speakers provided really good bass for the price however i was looking for something a little more powerful with deeper, more powerful bass. After i did a little bit of comparing and researching i decided to get a pair of these. The difference in the sound was amazing. The sound was more powerful, louder, and above all i had the true bass sound i was looking for. I decided to break these in with the same tma 500 which are great amps and are a product of JL audio. This amp was good to break them in but these breast are power hungry. I am currently awaiting the Alpine PDX-1.1000, which will satisify the rms of these and power these to their true potential. I recommend these speakers to anyone wanting amazing breath taking bass. I got what i wanted while underpowering these subs and i know i will be more than satisfied with the new amp. I CAN'T WAIT!! Get you some...

I bought 2 of these Type R subwoofers. I first had them in a ported box, with 1.67 cubic feet per sub, the bass was loud but very muddy. I got a sealed box with .90 cubic foot per sub and let me tell you, the clarity is a huge difference between sealed and ported. My music sounds so clear now with the sealed box and the bass still will shake all my mirrors off. These subs are amazing and extremely good quality. I recommend them to anyone wanting something to really rattle their car.

I'll start by sayin that i hooked up a friend with TWO rockford fosgate Power 15s and my ONE "12 Type R compares right up beside them! I've got mine hooked up to a profile 1000 2 ch. amp and it's perfect for my sub. got this thing hooked up just the other day and had a buddy ride along with me and i'll say this if you're planning on talking to your buddy beside you while you turn this sub up in your ride then change your plans. This thing hits like crazy. i've only had my music turned up to 25 out 40 and at that level its hard to take a deep breath. Get this sub. People will think you've got a few 15s. There is no dissapointment with these subs. Thanks to Alpine.

What a difference 2 voice-coils makes. Before I upgraded to these monsters I had 2 Sony 12's in a non-ported box and to be honest the bass was below average. Now after putting 2 of these bad boys in a bandbass box with just over 300 watts RMS going to each I hafta say I think I've reached the max bass potential that my head can take lol Now I can't wait to get a more powerful amp so eventually I can go completely deaf and so my car falls apart!! Great subs, great quality, and for a bargain of a price..get yourself a couple of these no joke.
