I have had a Rebel Film Camera for over 12 years and I wanted the Digital version so I could interchange the lenses. After telling My Crutchfield Advisor which lenses I had he assured me it would work. He was correct! I wanted something I could point and shoot, but I wanted great clarity and picture quality. The Rebel delivers just that.
I took a trip to New York City two days after receiving the camera and I took over 1500 photos in 4 days. The pics are amazing and it was so simple to get them.
I took another camera along just in case the Rebel was too bulky or heavy, but it was not an issue. I never took the other camera out during the trip.
Transferring photos to my laptop was a breeze.
No regrets about this purchase.

I was sick of blurry pictures from the small point and shoot cameras.. They're good for the average party camera, but when you need ALL your pictures to turn out nearly perfect every time... You'll want to buy a Canon SLR camera.. I am amazed at how clear and almost fake some pictures look, even with the lens that came with it.. I know the lens is holding back the potential of this camera, so I'm waiting to invest in a different one with alot more zoom.. Excellent starter camera or even a backup camera! The action setting is great! 3 pictures a second! You'll never miss another picture! Make sure to buy memory cards and a spare battery when you buy it! Also, you'll want a tripod! Take advantage of accessories when you buy a camera through Crutchfield!

This is a fantastic camera. Auto settings produce results 10x better than your average point and shoot. Manual settings, and then lenses will each open up whole new worlds for you.
The controls are easy and quick, the 2.5" screen is great for quick evaluations of how your settings are taking the lighting etc.
You get so much bang for your buck. Full on pro cameras push it a bit further with ISO sensitivity, frames per second, etc. but really, with the right lenses you can shoot like a pro with this thing in nearly all circumstances.
I have been having so much fun with this camera. Once you go SLR you'll never go back. It is a whole different planet. Photography is wonderful.
