I thuroughly enjoy this product. It produces amazing surround sound on my 5.1 Infinity speaker system. It did not take long to install and is easy to use. My only real issue with it is the fact that it has so many connection possibilities on the back, but you HAVE to choose only one. In other words, it does not up or down convert video format. If you have HDMI going up to your TV, then you must have only HDMI compatable devices. End-of-story. Well, I hate to break it to the rest of the world, but HDMI is fairly new technology, and most of the third party devices that people use are still either composite or component, so why would you not let us up convert? Isnt it like putting watter that was flowing through a straw down a 4" pipe? I see no reason why it shouldn't work that way. Other than that, it was a great product.

Great value for what you pay. Easy to use and set up. Does what we need it to do, powers a 5.1 home theater and additional 2 sets of speakers. Second AMP allows for listening to a different audio stream away from primary home theater speakers. Great for powering outdoor speakers. Highly recommend for low investment.

Very complicated remote with tiny gray fonts on black. I need a flashlight to read it. No loudness compinsation and the tone controls are several steps into an elaborate setup sequence on the back panel which requires that the door be opened. It sounds the same as my old Kenwood.

Once again the Crutchfield staff comes through. I needed a receiver to replace a late 70's amp/tuner that finally died. E-mailed Crutchfield and they recommended the Denon AVR-1508. It does all I need and more. My old amp had maybe 4 inputs and 3 speaker outputs, the back of the Denon has more inputs/outputs then I have equipment for. The second zone is a great option. The only issue is now I'll have to explore the whole home theater option to make full use of the receiver. Great sound through my Bose 301 bookshelf speakers.
