Description Features Crutchfield Hands-on Research Accessories

You crave high-performance bass, but you don't want to use all of your available cargo space to get it. Leave it to the master designers at Infinity to develop a 21st century solution. They've put the same state-of-the-art technology that distinguishes Infinity speakers into the new BassLink amplified subwoofer. Though it takes up just one cubic foot of trunk space, it'll produce resounding bass in any vehicle.

The BassLink brings together a 10" subwoofer, a 10" passive radiator (to increase efficiency and limit distortion), and an extremely efficient, specially designed 200-watt Class D amplifier that work as an integrated system. Special circuitry monitors voice coil position to maintain linearity at high power levels, so you hear loud, clear bass!

An array of controls will enable you to tweak your bass until it has just the thump you want. For optimum system blending, the low-pass filter is variable between 50-120 Hz (12 dB per octave), and a phase switch (0- or 180-degrees) is included. Adjust low bass impact with the bass EQ feature (-6 dB to +3 dB at 40 Hz). And you'll be able to put BassLink in a variety of in-vehicle locations, thanks to brackets that enable the rigid polymer box to be mounted vertically or horizontally. A wired remote with 16-foot cable allows you to adjust your Basslink's volume from your dash.

Good thump for little size cost October 20, 2008
Reviewer: Mike from Fort Wayne, IN
I wanted a small all in one solution so I wouldn't loose my limited cargo space behind the 3rd row of a minivan.

This is the perfect solution.  Plug and play install and this thing makes a huge difference in the low end bass.  I hooked up the remote volume control so I can adjust the bass level on the fly, makes adjusting the bass volume for different kinds of music real easy, and turning it all the way down / off reminds me how much it really makes a difference.

It has enough power to make all the rear view mirrors dance, but not enough to scare the neighbors, which I consider a good thing since I bought it for me, not the people next to me at a traffic light.

I highly recommend it for those who want some hump without having to deal with the loss of cargo space.

Infinity BassLink September 24, 2008

AMAZING!!!!! This thing may not look too big but puts out AMAZING Bass! Unfortunately, it would not fit behind the seat my 2002 GMC HD Crew Cab pickup. It did fit under the rear seat, however, when turned up the vibes were a bit too much! I had to send it back and will be looking into another sub :(  I listen to country but just to understand the bass this puts out i put in a rap cd my kid had and holly smoke you want to talk about rattling windows. The reviews that have this as so-so will never be pleased.

I was pushing it with a Pioneer DEH-P4000UB head and Monster RCA's

Basslink Powered Sub August 28, 2008

I purchased the unit to fill out some missing low end sounds to the factory RB-1 radio in a PT Cruiser.  The install was pretty simple and clean.  The sound is everything I expected to get from the unit.  Only negative would be the cost.

I purchased the Infinity Basslink earlier this month.  I have never installed any stereo components in my car but had no trouble getting the sub wired up.  It is exactly what I was looking for in a sub - small, doesn't take up my whole trunk (just a corner), all-in-one unit, and easy to install.  The sound is really amazing for its size - it fills in the low end on rock music and thumps pretty hard on rap.  Only gripe would be that it does not keep up at high volumes and on metal it has a hard time on some of the double bass drum action.  While this will not give you the same performance that a couple of 10"s or 12"s in a closed box with amps will give you, it is an excellent compromise between performance, price and trunk space.  I am very satisfied so far.

dependability not so great August 15, 2008
Reviewer: eric from Dallas, TX
put this in my Saturn ION with some JL audio separates up front and it sounded great.  after 12 months ( nice warranty timing?  haha) it started cutting out , just in time for a road trip to Wisconsin :(
and when I got back and had it checked they said the amp was blown.
I did some research and apparently there is an easy fix for this that a person who knows electronics could fix, I just wish Infinity would fix it at the factory.
I gave two stars because the unit did sound great when it worked, just make sure you buy from an approved dealer like Crutchfield. These have a rep of questionable quality.
