Spent 3 days wiring my car and installing this unit. It worked great for about 1 week and something died in there, so it would make constant loud buzzing sound even when not connected to any audio signal. After that, I have read lots of compaints in regards of this model related to its poor reliability. Had to spend another day removing all the wiring in order to send this unit back. I'm glad I bought it from Crutchfield, not some other unknown retailer.

This thing rocks. I put this in a Chevy Silverado Extended Cab (4 doors, rear doors open opposite of front doors). It JUST fits under the rear seat. I haven't fine tuned the system yet, but I am VERY pleased with this.
I initially purchased the Blaupunkt Thb 210A, but the Infinity Basslink is much better. If you can fit this and don't want to mess with building a custom subwoofer box, this is for you. And with the free multi-channel amp module you cannot go wrong.
I also have to commend Crutchfield on their awesome service. Free shipping. And free return shipping if you don't like it. What more could you ask for? You think other places are going to give you service like that? I don't think so.

I wont hurt the rating, but i recommand the basslink to be used in a opened type cabin (ex: Vans, SUVs, trucks). I have this in my trunk right now, the bass is very clear, accurate, and audible "IF" you do mostly city or low speed driving, but once you hit the highway, the bass pretty much dissipates. The basslink does reproduce the low notes very well. The unit hardly distort at all unless you crack the gain to the max position of course. I wanted a unit that can be audible at any driving speed but don't want a subwoofer thats heard blocks down the road.

Nice sub |

Bought this sub and the 4sc amp. It sounds very good. I've had systems in the past that would wake up the block, but that was when I had younger ears. For what I wanted this did the job with a couple of exceptions. For certain bass notes, the sub system clipped even though I wasn't near the top of my volume nor did I have the gains turned all the way up. I developed a short in the 4sc module so I had to return it for a replacement. Did that and had my sound back, then my sub went south so I had to get it replaced. I commend Crutchfield for working with me on this. I then decided to go with just the sub and a separate Kicker 4 channel amp. Sub on it's own sounds good, and the Kicker amp is much more powerful than the 4sc module. You're also hurt if any part of the basslink II and 4sc system go out because once something goes down with that set-up, everything goes.

When I bought this unit, I knew little to nothing about sound systems, and this unit was a blessing. While this unit doesn't quite have the power to pound through back seats and wake up your neighbors when you get home, it sounds great in any car where it's in the cab with the driver. It's easy to use and is perfect to bring an otherwise factory system to life, the amp expansion provides plenty of power for even large speakers and the built in crossover in the unit lets even poor factory speakers belt out the mid and high notes by eliminating the low frequencies, and the sub itself will rattle your car, not the one nest to you, but it sounds great in your ride and that's the important part. Now for the negatives, if you already have an after-market head unit which includes a subwoofer control the built in crossover is no benefit, nor are the speaker level inputs. Bottom line, system builders stick to the standard box, amp, sub combinations but if what you want is a unit that will breathe life into a struggling factory system and nothing more, this is a GREAT unit, although if pushed to far it will develop an unbearable rattle and repair or replacement is MUCH more expensive since you cant just replace a part of the system, you have to replace the entire thing. Still a great product especially for SUV's and hatchbacks with systems that just can't cut it.
