i replaced the stock speakers in my Gmc Sonoma dashboard with these. for several months they were only powered by the factory stereo. they sounded good but i knew they could be better. i recently added a Pioneer head unit with a 10" sub and now the speakers perform up to their potential. i used the Pioneer stereo to cut most of the bass from these speakers and i can tell thats what these were meant for....mids and highs. they sound so clear now! i actually wish i would've gotten Infinitys for the door speakers as well. when setup with the right equipment, these really shine!

I have these speakers in the rear doors of my '02 silverado ext. cab, and am more than happy with the clarity of the sound, but the problem is with the plastic that the speaker body and basket are made of. Because the speakers are in the doors, and have relatively large heavy magnets, the plastic parts start breaking and the speakers start coming apart after several months of use because of the doors shutting. I am now on my third warrantied set of these. I would recommend these speakers for anyone because of the sound, but beware that in installations in doors (where the door needs to shut hard) they may start breaking, especially in the door(s) that are used alot.

I am using these in the rear of a Silverado Extened Cab with 300 hz bass blockers. They are excellent sounding speakers, just realize they are not intedend for bass. Really cleaned up the sound!
SCREWS ARE NOT INCLUDED in the box. Make sure you have eight #8 x 1" sheet metal screws before you start, expecially if your car has clip-in factory speakers.

I just replaced the factory speakers in my 2000 Jeep Wrangler with two pairs of Infinity Reference speakers: 6422cfp 4"x6" in the front and 5022i 5-1/4" in the sound bar. They sounded much better than the factory speakers, but needed more power. So, I replaced the factory head unit with a more powerful after market one and that made all the difference. They sound awesome! They look good and have amazing highs and mids. The mid-bass they provide is OK, but they really need a sub to complete the sound. That's why I say they are a great part of a complete system. Make sure they are amped and add another component for some more bass. I don't want any big boom or anything, but it definitely needs that extra kick. Once that's added, this system will be perfect!

I had these speakers in another truck when i pulled them out b/c i sold it. When i went to put it in my new one i was told you can't do that but when i got to looking at the mounting of the speakers i saw that if i treamd a bit of the speaker bracket it would fit nice and easy. Once i got every thing hooked up gave them some power 70rms they came alive, nice and crisp with a hint of mids anlong with the gain turned corectly. even thou my truck is sounding realy good right now I need to get a basslink for the lows. Also my in my doors i have a 6inch fosgate for the mids which work out realy nicely with 70rms. THESE DO NOT HANDLE THE LOWS AND WILL NOT SO DON'T EVEN TRY.
