I have been saddled with a Bose factory sound system for seven years. Finally, a speaker died and I had an excuse to upgrade. After shopping around a lot, Crutchfield had by far the best price. I decided to go with Infinity because it was one of the few brands that are 2 Ohms. I have not been disappointed. The speakers sound so much better than the Bose full range speakers they replaced. I have tweeters! I can hear hi-hats! They also have a surprising amount of thump for a 6x8. I also have to compliment Crutchfield on their Mastersheets! It made installation on my 2001 Mazda 626 super easy (I was seriously intimidated by the complexity of my front doors), and the detail of the mastersheet made installation simple. Only took an hour.

Well , I didn't think the speakers would perform and sound as well as they do but .........I'm shocked at the clarity, live sound, bass, and power handling of these speakers. Some one mentioned they needed to be broken in and you were right. After about one week off testing the speakers at different volumes, with different types of music they as of right now sound better than when I first installed them. I am anxious to get the rear speakers replaced ASAP, so I can get the full effect of a good sounding system. The subwoofer isn't a must unless you listen to rap music which I do so I will be purchasing a pre-amped sub-woofer ASAP. Remember, I am running these off of the stock radio in a FORD WINDSTAR which blew out the factory speakers. Thanks CRUTCHFIELD for adding the wire harness, which made installation a lot easier.

I installed them in the front doors of my 2003 F250 Super Duty. i agree with some of the other users. the highs are increadibly clear. but when it comes to the bass, it distorts quite a bit. i listen to all kinds of music. eg. country, rock, rap.... when listening to county, it sounds completely awesome. but when listening to rap. the bass makes the highs distort. for some reason it also made my rear stock speakers hit harder, i dont know why. im powering it with a HJC HD deck. i will be installing my Kicker amp, hopfully that will clear up the speakers a bit.

i am an audiophile with an ac/delco budget... i bought these, and i was tired of o/ding the stock speakers (i like bass and treble high to balance the mids my factory head unit puts out)... amazing... i can turn the volume max and it is my head unit activates its thermal cutout to stop it from overheating... i have never been able to overdrive these speakers yet and these things pound hard enough to rattle my mirrors and buzz my door panels... buy these... you will never get a better speaker for the money
