I bought these on the reputation of JBL. The are ok speakers. They would make good factory replacements. They are very bright and you will probably have to eq down the highs. I wish they had a little more punch to them. Don't expect any mid to mid lows from these speakers. They are quality built and I like the fact that you can position the tweeter up or down by rotating just the tweeter. Made the installation very easy.
Installed in front doors of 2006 Chevy HHR with speaker baffles.

These speakers are amazing! I put them in the doors of my '82 Chevy Van and they vibrate the mirrors and sound great doing it.
Ha. I am a musician and i know JBL is the top choice in live sound so i decided to try these out. I had a few problems getting them in but it had nothing to do with the speakers; just the wiring in the Van.
After giving them a week for a "break-in" period they are the best car speakers i've ever heard. Next to my dad's Bose system in his '07 Silverado.
They sound a little muddy with certain mixes (ie. Sixx AM: Heroin Diaries and A7X self titled cds) but are amazingly clear in others such as Disturbed, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Hoobastank. So i think they just need a few more days to get fully used to flexing.
They sure as heck beat my Pioneer's that were in the van when i bought it; which i put in the back to replace the Audiovox's from '82.
I plan on replacing the Pioneer's with these same JBLs or maybe the GTO 3-Ways.
I also have to give 5 stars to crutfield's service.
I ordered them on a Sunday, they called to confirm the payment that Tuesday and i received them Thursday. They would have been there sooner if i would have checked my email earlier to confirm the payment.
THANKS CRUTCHFIELD!!

Installation on the front doors of my 2001 Silverado was easy with the directions. Doors panels come off in less than 5 minutes. Fixed a lock problem while I was in there. Speakers sound great but it revealed how dull the rear factory speakers sound. Gonna replace them with a set of these too! Get the slim baffels to bounce the sound out more.

I replaced the factory speakers in my new 08 Chev Silverado LT2 with these. these were a super upgrade to the factory system. This upgrade sounds as good as my 05 Silverado with the factory Bose system.

I bought these speakers to replace my factory JBL front door speakers in my 2000 Toyota Camry and they sound nice! The lows are stronger and vibrates the door, seat, and rear view mirror. Real noticable is the highs also, the hi-hats and cymbals on drumbs can be ear-splitting at times. The best thing is how the speakers bring out the real quality of the music. The only thing I am concerned with is the my-ti tweeter on one of the speakers sometimes seems to make a high pitched rattling that is hard to notice (I faded my stereo to the front just to hear the speakers). They're 2 ohm and deliver more than the 4 ohm speakers would. Now I want to get the JBL GTO937 6x9's in the rear to match the performance in the front.
