This cable works as expected but it's not needed.  You can use a standard iPod cable with the Kenwood receiver get the same results.  Unless you don't have an extra cable I don't know why you would purchase this one.

This cable works well.  It is sturdy but still flexable enough to curl up in my
glove box.   I use it with a KDC-X692.
