The first cable i got was defective. Crutchfield was great at getting a second cord out to me and that one works great. I have a DNX-5120 and LOVE the Ipod interface. Best I have seen.

Using on a Kenwood DDX512. This cable and unit have a quick read time
and actually encouraged me to get into the Ipod craze. My wife and kids
have had one for years, but I managed on my od MP3. This finally convinced
me. Ease of use, speed of reading, video, and the WOW factor. A good
combination for those long road trips.
I recomend this cable if your head unit allows it.

IPOD Touch update |

This is an awesome product, I paired it with a dnx-8120 and it performs like a champ. I have a ipod touch (32gb) and I just wanted everyone to know that with the latest firmware from apple for the touch it now plays videos and movies on the dnx-8120. You just start the movie playing and then click on the empty alblum art box on the currently playing screen, the box is a gray box next to the movie title and other info on that screen. Then the movie starts playing and it looks sweet!

Installs quickly and easily and works great so far (I just got it so I've only used it a few times). I have a Kenwood DNX8120 in my 2003 VW Passat, and have used a couple different 6th generation iPods (80gb and 160gb), and the audio and video play fine from both. I bough an 80gb iPod just to have an audio and video jukebox in my car and so far it does everything I want so I'm happy with it.
