Like what other reviewers had mentioned, it will take a few days to break in the speakers in order to get stronger bass. Note that during winter, until the passenger cabin warms up, these speaker will sound like they have no bass at all. This is probably due to the rubber support having a higher glass transition temperature, causing them to "stiffen" up when its cold (don't be alarmed). Of course this issue is not limited to Kenwood speakers, but also to other speakers of similar construction. The mids and highs were produced accurately and were comparable to my Bose301 home speakers (better in some instances - cymbals). The lows were hits and misses. Some songs will sound louder (bass) than others, depending on their low frequency content. One cannot realistically expect a 6" cone to produce very low notes at high levels, so I'm installing a subwoofer when the weather warms up. Overall, a much better speaker than my factory for a good price.

I didn't give them 5 stars b/c there are better ones out there but for the money you can't go wrong with these. They were good with my factory radio and even better with my aftermarket Pioneer.

I just purchased these speakers for the rear deck in my '92 Ford Taurus and I am definitely pleased with them. For the price, you can't beat 'em. The highs and mids come across very clearly and for the limited bass response you can expect from a 6x8m, they perform well. I've always been a fan of Kenwood speakers and have no regrets with this purchase.
As a side note, once again I received excellent service from Crutchfield and will always come back for my car audio needs.

These speakers are great for the price relative to others of the same size. These were a great upgrade from the stock speakers in my 2001 Ford Taurus Sedan. They handle bass very nicely after the break in period. Prior to the break-in-period, the bass is considerably flat, but have no fear because the bass will improve. The high's and mid's are immediately incredible. The sound reproduction from these speakers is very crisp and clear. Two pairs of these speakers (front doors & rear deck) are teamed up with a Kenwood KDC-MP332 Head Unit, a Kenwood KSC-WD250 Powered Subwoofer, a pair of Polk db1000 Tweeters (front door pillars) and housed in two pairs of Boom Mat 6X8 Baffles. I don't have a great deal of experience with car audio but these turned out nicely, and I am extremely happy. The quality of the equipment and services provided by Crutchfield was amazing. For the first time in forty plus years, I finally have a car audio system that makes every commute a pleasure. Thanks Crutchfield.

These speakers are great for the price relative to others of the same size. A good step up from my stock speakers. The problem though is that they overpower the door speakers I also replaced! They can do bass nicely after a break in period but to really hear it I have to have the equalizer tuned for it or turn up the bass boost. I don't have much experience with car audio but these turned out nicely.
