This remote works great. It works all of my devices. Really like the fact that I can turn on multiple devices with the touch of one button and didn't have to set up macros line many other universal remotes. Web based set up was very easy. I loved the fact you don't have to enter codes for each device like most remotes.

I bought a plasma TV HD and then built a 7 speaker surround sound, DirecTV HD DVR and HD DVD Player/Burner. A great system, All from Crutchfield. I connected it myself. Huge project. If I had to do that again I’d have had a pro do it and paid the $400. Anyways I learned a lot.
My wife and my family were very frustrated with the multiple of remotes they had to use. So much so that they just were using the DirecTV remote that only used the volume on the TV and by passing the Receiver and Surround sound. I was very frustrated thinking I wasted so much time and money.
This remote made me love my new system and my family too. With one button you turn on the TV, Receiver and Direct TV and everything is right on. Same with the DVD player and the Stereo. All the TiVo features are there and it works great.
The online setup linked by cable to the remote was easy. Since I set the system up I was familiar with all the inputs it asked for like TV Channel, TV input, Receiver Input. Even so it did take me a few times to get it right but after about 10 minutes it was dead on.

I bought this on the recommendation of the Crutchfield advisor and am so glad I did. My local big box stores were steering me toward much more expensive universal remotes and this one does what I need (TV/VCR/home theater/DVD) perfectly. Works like a charm and the USB connection/website programming process is easy. It did take me a little while to resolve an issue with some of the settings, but I've struggled a lot more and for longer with far less useful remotes.

Would have rated this product higher except for customer support and exceedingly slow or unavailable access to the Harmony web site to program the unit. Spent over an hour on the phone with 2 tech reps only to learn that my problem was due to a software "issue". The Sound and Pic buttons that enable custom sound and picture menus don't work properly. The design concept is very good and execution is good, except that a bit larger buttons would be helpful. If customer support and web site access were better I would have rated it 4 stars.

I bought this remote along with a 659. The 659 was half the price as the remote and basically the same remote. The layout was a little different and there are two extra buttons on the 670; the skip forward and backward. So for twice the money you really are not getting much more of a remote. Sure the 670 is aimed at DVR users, guess what the 659 works great.
So I took one star off for the price, without any "real" added features. The second star I deducted was for the color. Avoid any of these Logitech remotes if they are silver. I like Logitech and have owned a lot of their products, but the paint on this remote is terrible. Stick with the black remotes, you'll be happier.
