first of all, i think this is a great remote. i prefer it over the bigger touch screen remote because i like a standard remote shape.second, my wife can use this remote and comments all the time on how easy it is to use. third, i think it's very easy to program. i only gave it 4 stars because i think the finish on the remote is too glossy. i understand the touch screen will show fingerprints but the rest of it could be of a more standard finish. it almost feels slippery. i don't want to be too picky here but i would also like to customize the pictures on the activities buttons on the main screen.
if you don't have hidden equiptment this is a great universal remote. if you have hidden equiptment close to the tv, you could get the hot-link ir repeater like i did. it works great.
finally, i would like to say crutchfield is always my first choice for buying electronics. if something costs a little bit less somewhere else, it's not worth the piece of mind you get here. thanks chris

Great looking remote that feels good in your hand with a sharp color screen. Probably the easiest universal remote I've ever programmed; it was operating a four-component system with less than 15 minutes of programming. The Logitech database is very extensive and, if they happen not to have the product you need, the remote can learn from another remote. Programmed it using software that runs on Vista, something many of the older universal remotes cannot do. An excellent remote at a price far less than models with less capability.

Combined 4 remotes (TV, PVR, receiver and DVD player) into one. Single button choices for watching TV, watching DVD and playing music are great. Obviously well thought out. In a word: excellent! Oh, and if you need to contact their techs or customer service, they are top notch. And they are located locally, so you don't end up running through pre-set questions before getting to the issue at hand..

This universal remote control is one of a kind. I really enjoy how intelligent it is. Logitech has a winner with The One! No need for any other remote in the house. The device feels great in your hands. Easy to program, everything is done via internet. Just respond questions about the equipment that you'll be using in conjunction with the remote by giving their models numbers and after everything is done, Viola! The remote is at your service. Enjoy. This is a Real Winner!!!

I had a Harmony 768 and found it to be fairly useful but a little cumbersome. The lack of hard buttons and awkward thumb wheel would rate a 3. When I bought my new Denon receiver and it did not recognize the code for my new Blu-Ray, well, I knew I was in for a new remote. And one that would work well with Tivo.
This remote is tops. It does everything perfectly and seems to know what I want before I do. If you're in the market and can afford it, do it. You won't regret it.
