Excellent addition to a Mirage home theater |

I'm in total agreement with Tom. I added this omnisat center channel after using my Nanosat 5.1 system (which I love) and being slightly disappointed with the center channel performance. The one drawback with the nanosats is that they use the same dispersion surround speaker for all 5 speakers, including the center channel. The CC is so active for my uses (mainly watching movies and using my 360 vs. music) that I could tell I needed more oomph out of my CC.
Adding the omnisat CC has been a huge improvement in that category, vocals are solid, and there's a much deeper presence for anything that uses the CC. I'm very happy with the purchase, and it works great with the Nanosats if you already own one.

Excellent CC speaker choice |

I had purchased the Mirage NANOSAT 5.1 system (very happy with that too!) and had been using one of the satellites for the center channel. It worked fine but I thought that a dedicated/designed cc speaker would be better considering the majority of a soundtrack is through the cc. I chose the OMNISAT V2 CC over the NANO CC because of the two additional 4.5" drivers (the NANOSAT's can be a little lean in the low- to midrange). This speaker is great sounding and due to it's dispersion it's not real sensitive to placement above or below the screen...a great speaker.

Speaking from experience, if you're using either the Mirage Omnisat V2 sats or Nanosat sats as your front speakers in a home theater setup, you really should pair them up with the Omnisat V2 CC speaker. The V2 CC is an excellent voice match for either of these sats (and I suspect other speaker brands as well) and is worth the extra $200 over the Nanosat CC speaker (particularly, given the importance of the center channel speaker in a home theater setup). Like the other Mirage products I've purchased, the V2 CC speaker is very attractive (brushed aluminum in this case) and appears to be very well made. I can't imagine someone being disappointed with this speaker.

Anchor of a Surround system |

I chose the Mirage Omnisat to anchor my 7.1 system due to the 70/30 indirect principle that the Mirage employs and the amount of sound that you get for the money.
The center is arguably the most important component of a home theater system. The Mirage Omnisat CC will make you feel like you are in the room that a conversation is taking place.
I have no regrets with this CC. It looks great with it's extremely well engineered package (low profile, little depth required) in front of my 60" SXRD Sony XBR. It blends flawlessly paired with my 6 Boston Acoustic in-wall speakers. It'll blow you away. Enjoy!
