These speakers rock!!! Great mid bass, and a very smooth tweeter!! I have the 6 1/2 version and what a deal I got from crutchfeild!! I have 75 watts pumpin each component and it sounds flawless. I love that the high are not to harsh, however I have the crossover set to -3 setting. I highly recomend these especially for the price. Think no more just buy!!!!

I bought these Polks to replace my stock front speakers in my 2004 Kia Rio Sedan. I have 180x2 at them and they are continuing to break in. They are becoming increasingly LOUD and clear at the same time. It sounds like I am at a concert when I turn it up. The first thing I noticed is the tweeters are very detailed high in the freq. range, and the whole set is crisp. The tweeters are in your face and a bit too loud even when I EQ it way down with -6db on the crossover. I imagine if I mount the tweeters on-axis (closer to the woofer), they will calm down a bit. I have them just sitting on top of my dash right now and the window reflections make them scream. Mid bass is crisp and pretty good, but I am expecting more once I deaden my doors. Overall a great speaker for the price, and I dont think you will be disappointed in this purchase, or even the new MMs, which I hear are very similar. Without buying a really expensive set, or larger (6.5, 7, or 8") you really cant top this smooth natural sound that can scream if you need them to. With my 12" woofer in back, The sound approaches my Sony tower speakers I have at home in clarity, and that set has a 1.5" cone tweeter, 3" midrange, 12" woofer. The Carbon Fiber cones are very very nice on the woofers and are rugged!

These speakers sound great with my Alpine MRP-F300 amp. These are some nice speakers nice tight bass and I bought the Polk Audio MOMO series 6"x9" speakers for the rear as well. Thank you so much crutchfield. The only problem I had was that the flush mount brackets were abused and used, but I called crutchfield and they sent out the brackets and they were here in 2 days. Great shipping.

I installed these in the front of my Paseo. They are powered by a Profile AP740 amp. They sound great. The problem is I can't hear any noticeable improvement over the Kicker KS speakers I used to have. So three times the price for the same sound? Also, the covers for the crossovers are pathetic. They won't stay on. So good speaker, shame about the price.

These speakers made my 2001 Mustang sound so much better. The front speakers now are amazing with every kind of music I have listened to. Vocals are great as is classical music. I don't have much to compare them to but to me they sound great and I definitely recommend them. This is coming from the stock stereo and I can't wait to hear them after I add an amp. Great design too. Crutchfield was very helpful and I would order from them again.
