Those speakers truly are amazing. They produce the best sound I ever heard from car speakers. The woofers sound great at both mids and lows. The tweeters aren't harsh at all. Those speakers sound amazingly natural. Cant wait till I get my second pair + amplifier, since I run them on my head unit, then start enjoying the true sound of high quality after market speakers.

I was a little skeptacle at first for buying a component setup...I powered these to a Rockford Fosgate P400 amp and WOW!! These suckers are amazing. I was used to hearing a little distortion with my stock speakers at high volume. I swapped them out with these and the bass and clarity that they produce is well worth every penny, ESPECIALLY after I found out how to tune my amp with Crutchfield's "How To" guide.
Just last year, I didn't know anything about car audio. With Crutchfield's step-by-step instructions and free wiring gear, anyone can install audio and have fun doing it.
I wouldn't reccomend any other component other than this one. You will not be disappointed.

I had recently just installed a 6 component speaker system in my car. I hooked these Polk Audio db5251 speakers and tweeters to my 5 channel amp, along with 2 rear speakers and 2 10" subs. This set of speakers are a definite buy. I got them from the scartch and dent, and they turned out just great. And my system as a whole is off the HOOK!!

I had these installed in my 2000 Acura TL flush mounted next to the door handle. They are powered by the Alpine PDX-4.100 4 channel amp and I had the doors dynamated. I just got done doing a 3000 mile trip with an 8 GB mp3 player and I absolutely did not want to leave the car. These things are amazing sounding from rock, metal, rap, jazz, classical, you name it these sound amazing. Couple these with a subwoofer and you will honestly think you are at a concert. I turned my pioneer deck to 50 and it actually became painful to keep it at that level. They sounded just as clear at minimal amplification and maximum amplification. Pay the extra money if you have it and have them mounted flush. You cannot go wrong with these speakers. I think you could even go down for a cheaper class AB amp and still get amazing results.

Loud But Sharp |

so i bought 2 sets of these, hooked them up to an 4 channel, and the signal is coming from an avic d3. i'll start with the positives. these suckers are loud. not only that, with a little tweaking, you can really get some decent bass. very clean and punchy. not a whole lot of distortion either, even at higher volumes.
for the negative, i have to say that these suckers are sharp. very sharp. if you like that, cool. if you like more natural sounding highs, these are not for you. no amount of tweaking will remove the harshness. you can minimize it, but if you power these and crank them, get ready for some serious harshness. i couldn't take it and had to replace them with something much more high end to get the sound i wanted.
still, this isn't bad for the price. just make sure you really like your highs blaring if you buy them.
