I purchased these speakers while on sale with a Pioneer DEH-P7000BT CD Receiver. I recieved the speakers first and installed them in my 2003 F-150 with the stock head unit. What an amazing upgrade. I was able to hear sounds in songs I wasn't able to before. I broke them in for a while when I was waiting for my aftermarket headunit. I recieved and installed the deck about 3 weeks later (It was on backorder) When I finally got the deck in I cranked up the volume. The low-end distortion is very noticeable at high volumes. I'm ordering a Blaupunkt 210a to handle the low end, I'm hoping it will fill out the rest of the sound. I'd definately recommend these speakers to someone wanting more mid/high definition. If you want clarity at low end, a sub is almost a must. 4/5

i hooked these up in a 2004 mustang in the doors and in the rear deck. They replaced the speakers in the Mach system with a aftermarket Pioneer Premier head unit. im running all 4 on head unit power and i have them limited so they wont try to play to low of bass. they fill in the highs and the mids very well without being too shinny or bright sounding. i bet they would osund alot better with a 4 way amp which i will try in the near future.
easy install in the factory Ford openings (6x8's) with no depth issues
i would deffiantely recomend these to a friend

I installed these speakers to replace my front and rear factory speakers, and they sound like 100X better! The mid to high range is definitely the highlight of these speakers. I listen to a lot of metal and hard rock and these speakers give the guitar riffs justice. The bass response is great, but not excellent. I have two 12" subs which provide me all the bass i need. These speakers do a great job of staying just as loud as the subs so my music doesn't get drowned out. I recomend these to anyone trying to upgrade their existing factor speakers, there's no comparison between aftermarket and stock speakers. Such an awesome improvment! Installation was a pain, but that's how it is with every kind of car audio equipment.

I took out the factory speakers in my 2003 Ford Explorer and replaced them with these in front and back doors. It is a significant improvement over what was in the vehicle. Much more bass and great highs. My wife noticed it was much better since the system in our other vehicle is much better than this one. I would recommend these as an upgrade must. Also, the information and wiring that Crutchfield sent with the speakers made the install a breeze.

I replaced all four speakers in my 2003 F-150 SCrew with these Polk speakers and they are fantastic. The only thing that they could improve on is the bass response. I have a Sony head unit and had to use the low pass filter to cut the deep bass out so the speakers wouldn't distort. I also had to turn the treble down because the tweeters work real good!
For the price that Crutchfield sold these, you cannot go wrong.
