Ive got four of these in my 86 crx, and they are great. The thick rubber allows for lots of bass for the size. I have gone through lots of 6 1/2" speakers, and so far these are the best ive seen unless you want to spend hundreds of dollars. The adjustable tweeter is a nice feature if your speaker is not positioned in a desireable location. Also you dont necessarily need an amplifier as long as you make good decisions when selecting a stereo. i have all four powered by a 21 watt stereo. ive turned it up to the point where my ears cant take it any louder with no signs of distortion. but if you have a low powered stereo, then you will need an amplifier.
Enjoy!

WHAT??? What did you say? Man these speakers are great. I am powering them with a brand new Rockford Fosgate P450.4 which really can work these suckers. I had them hooked up for about 1 week and I really can't get enough of the highs and mids they produce. The bass is ok but I didn't really expect much deep ability out of these so I wasn't disappointed, just don't expect it to rattle the trunk lid with bass. I am thinking a small sub would complete these speakers perfectly but for now they ROCK!

I'm using these in a boat so I assumed the sound wouldn't be the best, but I was really surprised. They sould great, look great and added a lot of color to the existing system. Money well spent.

I got a pair of db651 speakers for the rear, and a pair of db651s slimline speakers for the front of my new Hyundai Elantra. I paired with a JVC head with 20 watts RMS to each channel. I installed the head first, and had a chance to listen to the factory speakers. The factory speakers lacked definition and clarity, as I would have expected for a single paper cone with no tweeter. The polk's were a major upgrade to the factory setup, and brought much more sparkle, resolution and depth to the music. Holding the Polk's in my hand and comparing to the speakers removed was very interesting. The build was incomparably more solid, with much larger magnets, metal instead of plastic for the housing, and a rugged speaker cone and surround. I'm very pleased with the sound, and taking into consideration the price, these speakers are a five star value. The installation was relatively uneventful, thanks to the instructions and free accessories.

I purchased four of these Polk speakers and had them installed using Install Card. The results were outstanding. The bass notes are accentuated and the overall sound is great.
