Purchased as a gift. Gave as gift after 30 days. When professional installer set it up, the unit would not power up. Since the purchase was over 30 days old, now I have to deal with Sony and pay shipping to ship it back to them for repair. This unit was a REFURB. Would not do this again. Would buy new if not at all. Would definitely NOT BUY A SONY. This is no reflection of Crutchfield. They have ween wonderful helping out and their support is excellent.

The ease of installition and it's ability to play MP3s of this changer are second only to it's ruggedness and sound quality. The changer resides under the rear seat of my 2001 Dodge 4X4 and we have been ably to enjoy our kind of music in even the roughest terains. I go offroad almost daily from September through April and so far this changer has yet to skip. Excellent product.

Purchase was easy, fast, delivery was fast, instructions were clear, equipment worked great! The only snag I ran into was that my 98 Ford Taurus doesn't really have color-coded wires and so we had to test every single wire to get power to the unit. We still aren't sure which wire is the always-on wire. The only downfalls of this product are that because it's FM modulated, the sound isn't perfectly clear. This isn't noticeable on most systems, however, unless you turn the volume up to max. Also, the ability to shuffle the entire changer is nice, but the disc switching is rather slow, as is the track switching on any other shuffle setting. I love that it has an output setting (from 1 to 5) so if your system is quiet you can give it an extra boost. However when I turned it up to 5, the sound distorted, so I just kept it on the default 3. Controls on both the wired and wireless remotes are intuitive and easy, the discs never skip, although every once in a while on my MP3 discs, the sound will cut out for a split second - probably due to high-speed recording or scratches. I recommend you record your MP3 discs at the lowest speed possible to ensure data consistency.
Overall, a very good product if you want to be able to listen to 10 different MP3-CDs without changing them out! That's practically 10 full days of music! As far as price vs. value goes, I'd rather have this in my car than an iPod, that's for sure!

I really like this CD changer. I've never had one before, and it's very convenient. I have a 60-mile commute, and listen to a lot of audiobooks from the libray and also sermons from my church. Anyway, the quality of the product is outstanding. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now, and have not had a single problem with it. One thing that would be nice is to have buttons for next/previous CD on the wired remote. Of course this can be done with the wireless remote but it would be a bonus. Nice product!
