Solid set great frequency, handles the sound without being heavy on the bass side. Too often systems are desinged to throw out a lot of bass when the original music never intended to have it.
If you want more bass adjust your EQ (or get an actual woofer), this set handles bass just fine due to it's lower frequency range.
Replaced my Stock rear speakers in my Mitsubishi 3000GT with these. The stock pair worked great but finally one gave out after a month or so with a new deck in the car (Sony DV-2000 for SACD playback). The stock speakers were Infinity brand.
Probably will replace both door speakers also with a matching Sony pair. I replaced the ones in the doors were about 7 years ago, but definitely hear and improvement with the new speakers.

Very well built 3-way speakers added to the rear deck of a Honda Accord, which had no factory speakers. Very easy to install.... extremely good results. Lows, highs and mid range all very clean. Great buy.

I was skeptical at first looking at the specs 25hz- so I tried the Sony6935A 6x9 speakers. This speakers can definitely dish some low-end music. Althought it is not as clear and detailed sounding as my speakers in the front, the Sony 6935A proves to work for my application.
My system consist of an aftermarket amplifier and a subwoofer in the trunk. I bought the sony because I want to get rid of the heavy subwoofer in the trunk. It worked as specified on the specs.
The Sony 6935A replaced my Infinity Kappas (6x9). The Infinity sounded thin in comparison to the Sony. Having said that, I no longer needed the heavy subwoofer in the back. Don't get this confused, no 6x9 will replace a well designed subwoofer box. However, the Sony 6935A has that warm low-bass that I didn't get from the Infinity speakers.
Sham-WoW! this is the first time I used Sony speakers. Let shall see. Only time will tell how durable these speakers are.

I added these speakers as a custom installation the the rear of my Porsche 944. I listen to a lot of techno, among other things, and I wanted more bass response than my system could put out without the bulk or complexity of a sub. I picked these speakers based on the reviews here, and their very low frequency bass-response. Boy do these speakers deliver! Driven by my very powerful Blaupunkt receiver, these speakers thump like a small sub! Unlike a sub, however, they also deliver surprisingly clear mids and highs.
If you're looking for a great all-around speaker on a budget, then look no further. Sure there are better ways to get more bass or cleaner highs, but you'll be hard pressed to beat the quality of sound or range of frequency these put out for the price! The only thing holding these back from a full 5-star rating is that I did notice them distorting very slightly under heavy bass load at extreme volume - it was only detectable from right next to the speaker however, so little harm done.
